The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has concluded plans to hold its 44th Annual General Meeting/Congress in Lagos State. The 44th AGM/Congress will hold from Thursday, 6th to Saturday, 8th July, 2017 at the Golden Tulip Festac Hotel, Lagos State.

The theme for this year’s AGM/Congress is “Fresh Thinking”.

The President of the Association, Mr. Kayode Oluwasona noted that the Association aimed to use the AGM as a platform to stimulate fresh perspectives and critical thinking that advocate unorthodox solution to the challenges facing the business and practice of advertising in Nigeria.

To underscore the importance of the AGM, the Association has invited Mr. Bayo Adekanmbi, Transformation Executive, C-Level Lead for Strategic Initiatives, MTN Nigeria and Mr. David Okeme, President, Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) as speakers at the event.  The AGM/Congress will be chaired by the Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Babatunde Fowler.

The Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Jenkins Alumona stated that fresh thinking and new ideas are critical to today’s business.  He further stated that delegates and participants will benefit tremendously from the educative papers to be professional presented by the speakers on the AGM theme

The Association’s AGM is always a major event in the nation’s marketing communications calendar and it always attracts overwhelming local and foreign coverage.

Senior government officials, captains of Industry and top business leaders & policy makers from within and outside the marketing communication industry are expected at the AGM.
