After a successful partnership in 2017, African Cristal Festival, the most prestigious awards which celebrates creativity in Africa, has reappointed Brand Communicator, a frontline brand and marketing magazine, as its official media partner in Nigeria for the 2018 edition of the festival slated to hold in Marakesh, Morocco from May 3 to 4, 2018.

The African Cristal Festival rewards the best advertising campaigns created and broadcasted over the African continent, on any media. The objective of the Festival is to promote the African advertising creativity, and to showcase a variety of international and regional work from the industry through the meeting of agencies and advertisers in a mixed jury.

In a letter written by Julien Morales, Vice-President of Cristal Events, organizers of the festival, he stated that Brand Communicator will once again exclusively embark on publicity drive for the festival in Nigeria, handle the procurement of VISAs for delegates and other engagement on behalf of the festival organizers.

“This nomination means that Brand Communicator will communicate all news referring to the African Cristal Festival and will do our publicity exclusively: call for entries, juries, the program, speakers, prize lists, industry leaders’ interviews, and everything related to the event, by focusing on the Nigerian market as well.

“This appointment also means that Brand Communicator (published by Awesome Communications), becomes our official representative in Nigeria. This position, gives to Brand Communicator, the possibility to take care about multiple things on our behalf in the country including procurement of VISAs and other related documents for delegates.” the letter reads.

Responding to the reappointment, Mr. Joshua Ajayi, Publisher/ Chief Executive Officer of the magazine said the company is delighted about the renewed partnership and will not rest on its oars in delivering quality brands and marketing reportage, adding that it will do its utmost best to project the image of African Cristal Festival positively in the country by giving it wide coverage before, during and after the event.

Recall, that the 2017 edition saw the emergence of Nigerian agencies and brands like Noah’s Ark, X3M Ideas, SO &U, Airtel Nigeria and others winning the most coveted prizes at the festival.

Meanwhile, for two days, participants will have the opportunity of meeting decision-makers who will sharpen their knowledge of the African creativity market. Also, about 45 leading professionals from the industry will unite to debate and exchange on the evolution of the advertising & media market in the region and internationally.

This year’s festival will also focus on the cultural stakes and their implications for brands. It will also help participants grasp the creative and multi-cultural future in line with this emerging market.
