The Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) has conferred the Fellowship Award on the Executive Director, CMC Connect Burson Marsteller, Mr. Raheem Olabode.

The Fellowship was conferred on him by the Executive Member, Lagos Chapter of the Institute, Dr. Elijah Ezendu, along with other distinguished professionals at the Seminar held in Lagos recently.

The Certified Management Consultants (CMC) status which is granted by the International council of Management Consulting institutes (ICMCI), is the highest qualification any management consultant can aspire to attain. The qualification is accepted and recognized in over 50 countries world over.

While conferring the IMC Fellowship Certificate on Olabode, Dr. Elijah Ezendu, congratulated and charged him and other recipients to remain good ambassadors of the Institute in all their endeavours. He also tasked members to always remember “that the status of Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) is professional and allows no compromise,” as a Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) is the highest grade of the institute’s membership which is reserved for accomplished professionals.

Receiving the award, Olabode expressed his gratitude to the Institute and reiterating his determination to ensure that the practice will be driven by high standards of corporate governance and professional ethics. “I am indeed delighted to become a fellow of this great Institute that is highly regarded for the critical role it plays in creating, maintaining and extending high standards of management consulting in Nigeria,” he said.

After many years in the IMC industry, the Governing Council of IMC found Raheem Olabode worthy of its institution fellowship certification. Being one of the recipients of the Institute’s Fellowship Award this year, is a testament of his professionalism and recognition of his invaluable contribution as a Consulting Manager in Nigeria, the Institute noted.

Olabode, who is currently the Executive Director of CMC Connect, is a graduate of Banking and Finance from Ogun State University, now (Olabisi Onabanjo University). Raheem has Over 22 years’ experience as a chartered accountant with 16 years’ experience in the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) industry. He is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIT) and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS).

Through his skills, Olabode supports his organization in achieving its strategic and operational objectives by interpreting and influencing both the external and internal environments and by creating positive relationships with stakeholders through the appropriate management of their expectations and agreed objectives.

He specializes in corporate and brand reputation programmes, media relations, as well as issues and crisis management. He has in-depth experience in the domains of financial services, infrastructure, services, and healthcare.  In addition, Olabode has directed strategic communications conceptualization & execution for many clients in Nigeria. He has also attended trainings, seminars and conferences locally and internationally.

The Institute of Management Consultants is the body of professional management consultants approved and registered by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Constitution and by-laws establishing the IMC empower it to promote and regulate the standards and practice of management consulting among its members throughout Nigeria.
