CSR Reporters, Africa’s Premier Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability news publication and the convener of the annual Philanthropic Awards on Social Impact and Sustainability Practices is set to host the first edition of its Nonprofit Excellence Award.

The award which opened its entry on April 5, 2023 will be recognizing and honoring non-governmental Organizations, leaders, funders and volunteers from throughout Nigeria that demonstrate extraordinary effort, innovation, leadership, and excellence in providing services to humanity.

According to Eche Munonye, the Editor-In-Chief of CSR Reporters, Nonprofit Excellence Award will not only recognize prominent international NGOs, but also the smaller, lesser-known NGOs in remote areas, whose exemplary service and success may have gone unnoticed and unappreciated on the national stage.

Eche noted that the process of nominating and entering for the award is seamless and simple. The nominations, he said, are received from various individuals and organizations with knowledge of the nominee-organization and the works being done. Thereafter, nominations are reviewed by a panel of judges composed of experts drawn from both international and local NGOs, media and intergovernmental organizations.
Apart from the recognition, the event also features a roundtable discussion themed,’ Driving Nonprofit Performance and Innovation through Effective Leadership’
According to Eche, the discourse will help nonprofit leaders think conceptually about performance-measurement systems. It will examine the rationale behind performance measurement and how to align organization’s mission, strategy, and performance; developing a culture of learning and innovation in nonprofits.

The award ceremony and discourse hold at 10am, Wednesday June 28, 2023 at the Nigerian National Merit Award House (Merit House), 22, Aguiyi Ironsi St, Maitama, Abuja.
