The Public Relations Manager of Gotv at Multichoice Nigeria, Efe Obiomah has called it quit with the leading PayTV company in Nigeria after 3 years and 8 months.
Efe announced her departure from the Multichoice subsidiary GOtv to her friends through email. According to her “I thought I should take a moment to let you know that I am leaving MultiChoice to take up an exciting new role.”
Where Efe is heading as at the time of filing this report is unknown however, a reliable source said she may have headed back to Etisalat, her last place of work before she joined GOtv in 2013.
Sparing time to appreciate media partners, she said, “It’s been pleasurable working with you during my time here (GOtv). Through your support, we have built the GOtv brand into a household name in Nigeria, and I am truly thankful.”
“This is not goodbye; I will be calling on you soon,” she signed off in style.
Prior to her joining GOtv, had worked with One to One Nigeria Limited, Tequila, and Etisalat and she is moving to bigger role in another multinationals, another source said.
The 1999 University of Benin graduate of B.Sc, Mathematics and Economics cut her tooth in marketing communications when she joined One to One Nigeria in 2002. In a job she only spent 8 months, Efe, who handled telemarketing (in-bound and out-bound). Her team pioneered Bancassurance operation in Nigeria through the Leadway Assurance, Comfort 5 telemarketing initiative.
While at Tequila, Efe was saddled with client service and brand management role dedicated to strategically supporting all Clients’ brand development initiatives using advertising, direct marketing and experiential marketing campaigns.
Some of clients and key projects includes she handled at Tequila include MTN (Super Booster Cards telemarketing); Guinness Nigeria Plc (Guinness Extra Smooth product launch); P & G – Vicks Lemon Plus Take 5 campaign & Always Keep Movin’; GT BANK – Smart Kids Save Account brand development and advertising; Coke-side-of-life thematic launch event.
