The fourth edition of the annual Nigeria Pension Awards will take place during the last quarter of this year at a date to be announced very soon. The program which was designed to honor outstanding professionals and corporate organizations in the pension and other sectors will witness the attendance of leaders and decision makers across different sectors of the Nigerian economy.

The 2016 edition will have a special session tagged “The OUTSTANDING PLACE to work Award” categories for corporate organization in the integrated marketing communications, oil & gas, manufacturing, health, finance, and the public sector to honour corporate organizations that have developed an employee friendly pension scheme as indicated in the current contributory pension regime as well as other employee friendly programs that will aid the development and well-being of an average Nigerian worker.

There is no gainsaying that an average Nigerian worker and pensioners inclusive has suffered avoidable hardship and unattractive working conditions without any structured security of their financial future due to previous unreliable pension regimes and therefore this year’s program will honour outstanding organization’s that have secured the future of their employees.

Some past winners of the coveted award include Stanbic IBTC Pension, Zenith Pension Custodian, Oak Pension, Fidelity Pension Managers, First Pension Custodian, AIICO Pension Managers, Crusader Sterling Pensions, FUG Pension and UBA Pension Custodian to mention but few.

Some past winners and personalities that have won different categories of the award include Mr. Longe Eguarekhide, Managing Director of AIICO Pensions and Mrs. Amaka Andy Azike of Fidelity Pensions  and Mrs. Aderonke Adedeji, of Leadway Pensure PFA among others.

According to the Project Director, Abidemi Adesanya during a recent press conference, he said that the criteria’s for selection of the 2016 winners will be based on a 300 point stringent criteria’s with an experienced and world class jury.

He said further that the topic for this year’s program is tagged “Strategic Ways of encouraging an         all-inclusive pension culture in Nigeria”.  The dates and other details about the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Pension Awards will be announced later.
