Foremost Nigerian Marketing innovative solutions company, the GMD Group is joining in strategic collaboration with leading marketing establishments, including National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) and the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) on hosting the maiden edition of MarkHack, an industry wide Marketing and Media conference which promises re-defining future of marketing and the evolution of new business models in Nigeria.

The conference which goes with the tag : MarkHack 1.0, will expectedly bring in convergence elite practitioners from across various industries, next – generation innovators, entrepreneurs, policy makers and marketing professionals with the ultimate aim to re-define, transform and champion the future of media and marketing in Nigeria.

With the event launch hopefully expected to take place on April 8th, 2022, MarkHack 1.0 will unveil innovative solutions to real-life marketing challenges within an intense period of three weeks, leveraging creativity, technology and mentoring to produce prototypes, fresh new concepts and innovative use of tech for Marketing and Media.

The event launch is expected to attract over 400 registered participants who would be spilt into separate teams of five members, and tasked to develop concepts and prototypes on eight key focus areas that includes, consumer experience, media consumption, consumer recruitment and interaction, trade and retail engagement, analytics and metrics, events marketing, media monetization and content creation.

According to statements emanating from organizers of the event, the teams with the most pioneering and disruptive ideas would be presented with cash prizes at the Finale/Gala Night on May 18. Winning teams will get to join an accelerator program with Eko Innovation Centre, with up to $50,000 equity investment and also share in a $20,000 prize pool.

All participants at the MarkHack 1.0 will also be granted free access to Art of Technology 4.0, Lagos, the largest tech conference in Nigeria which brings together key stakeholders from the public and private sector to discuss policies and initiatives that will pave the way for the evolution of a smarter, digital, efficient and competitive Lagos.

Winning individual prizes are first place: $9000, second place: $6500, and third place: $3500.
