The season of love fostered friendships, and relationships and rekindled connections for people, especially for MTN customers and their loved ones.

In commemoration of Valentine, the customer-focused company launched the #MTNPlaysCupid campaign as a proposition to connect customers by creating valuable experiences for them. One of the ways the brand achieved this was by giving subscribers on its network the opportunity to gift their loved ones shopping vouchers and phones to celebrate the season.

The aim of this campaign for the brand was to connect with all its customers and provide them with a fun and engaging platform to celebrate love and send gifts to the people they care about.

Through the myMTN App, customers could nominate a loved one between the hours of 1 pm and 6 pm for special gifts on Valentine’s Day. The initiative has come across as a great deal of love by the brand and has further reiterated its commitment to recognizing customers’ loyalty in the sustainability of its business and improvement of the quality of service delivery.

This gesture which was perceived as timely and thoughtful by many customers considering the recent economic downturn has served as a major highlight for this year’s valentine’s as over 5,000 customers nationwide could extend gifts to loved ones at no cost.
