Dr Rotimi Olaniyan, who recently completed his tenure as President of the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) has joined the faculty of the Nottingham Business School (NBS) at Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham, UK. The university was recently recognized as Modern University of the year in the UK for 2018.  The NBS ranks within the top 5% of business schools globally and is currently poised to win an EQUIS accreditation, which will list it amongst the top 1%.

 

In this new permanent role, Dr Olaniyan joins the prestigious business school’s senior marketing faculty with teaching, research and consulting responsibilities in marketing and entrepreneurship. His specialisation will cover entrepreneurial marketing, strategic marketing and communications, marketing sciences and Innovation, as well as customer experience.

 

He has 30 years of experience gained across a broad spectrum of marketing functions within four countries including the UK, covering brand management and communications, database marketing and CRM, as well as marketing services. He is apast first Vice President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria where he served between 2013 and 2015 and the immediate past President of EXMAN. He is an adjunct faculty member at the school of media and communications, Pan Atlantic university as well as Principal consultant at ADVANTAGE; a marketing consultancy and investment company now developing a UK footprint.

 

His doctorate thesis gained in 2015, developed a diagnostic model for better understanding the environmental munificence of creative entrepreneurship at the community level and he is currently working on a book on an African perspective of how brands co-create experience across cultures.

 

He will share his time between the UK and Nigeria.
