At least 161 newly image makers were last week inducted into the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), with charge to uphold professional ethics. Offering of money, fraud, dishonesty, ranting and character assassination of colleagues in order to outshine him or her are considered serious professional misconducts among practitioners.
The President of NIPR, Dr. Rotimi Oladele represented by his chief of-staff, fellow Willy Ogbidi reminded the inductees of the need to uphold the institute’s professional ethics as they go about their practices. It was an exciting interactive session, as questions from the inductees about the institute were received and answers provided by Willy Ogbidi. From the moment the new members were inducted, they are legally recognized by the institute, as well as their various working and practicing organizations.
Those present at the induction ceremony were the Deputy Registrar, Dame Nancy Ogenekaro, the Oyo State, Osun state and Lagos state NIPR chairmen and all the special assistants to the NIPR president, Dr. Rotimi Oladele
