The G100 Club has announced Inya Lawal as the Nigeria Country Chair for the Export and Credits Wing.
This announcement was made by the Founder of the club, Harbeen Arora Rai, and the Global Chair of Exports and Credit, Nana Ama Poku.
The G100 Club is an army of some of the world’s most powerful women from various sectors who have a common goal of creating an equal, progressive and inclusive environment for women worldwide.
G100 is supported by the Denim Club, a group of 100 he-for-she champions globally, comprising leaders and luminaries from the business, corporate and political domains, each leading a sector of influence and having their companies and institutions in support of gender parity and equality.
They will advocate for gender equity and balance, mitigate barriers to women’s leadership, commit to women’s greater C-suite representation, and fuel funding for female founders
Inya Lawal, the recently appointed chair, expressed commitment to continuously strive for women’s empowerment and opportunity building through providing the capacity and resources.
She holds a Master’s degree in Artistic Performance from Stockholm University in Sweden. Dr Inya is a recipient of an honorary doctorate award from the ESCAE Benin University, the Benin Republic, for her outstanding contribution to Women’s Leadership and Global Trade Development.
She was also given a Women’s History Month honorary award by the American Corner Ibadan in recognition of her contribution to the development of women and girls in Nigerian society.
She is the Lead Program Partner to the U.S. Consulate General in Nigeria, and the Program Partner for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, a White House/Department of State initiative.
Inya is the founder of the African Creative Market and serves on the board of the Women In Film and Television International as secretary and is the president of the Women in Film and TV Africa.
