It has been an exciting couple of weeks on Nigeria Idol with a mix of hilarious and impressive auditions. After sieving through thousands of hopefuls, the top 12 have finally emerged, and the live shows are about to begin.

The Nigerian Idol Season 7 live shows will thrill fans and viewers with excellent performances. However, the power is no longer in the hands of judges – D’banj, Simi and Obi Asika as they have selected the best 12 out of a large turnover of auditioners.

After several tryouts, Gerald, Abigail, Jordan, Itohan, Banty, David Operah, Zadok, Faith, Progress, Debby, Precious, and Joel made it through to the live shows. Now, only the viewers will have the power to keep their favourite contestants in the competition through voting.

As the live shows begin, the Nigerian Idol extra channel DStv 197 and GOtv channel 29 will close as viewers will now be able to enjoy live performances of the top 12 finalists on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153 and GOtv Supa channel 6) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 & GOtv channel 2) from Sunday, 20 March at 7 pm.

You can also catch live shows and highlights on the DStv App, available for download from the App or Google Play store.  Visit www.dstvafrica.com/www.gotvafrica.com to stay connected, download the MyDStv or MyGOtv self-service apps or dial *288#.
