Lanre Adisa, Creative Jury President, 2016 Nigeria Young Lions Competition

The organizers of the Pitcher Awards and Cannes Lions Official Festival representative in Nigeria, CHINI Productions, have announced Lanre Adisa, Managing Director/GMD, Noah’s Ark as the Jury President for the Heritage category of the Pitcher Awards. Lanre and his team to be announced soon will judge entries in Film, Audio, Print, Branded Content, Design and Outdoor including installations and activations.

According to Nnamdi Ndu, Managing Director of CHINI Productions, “Lanre has been a partner in championing the growth of creativity in Nigeria. As a 3-time creative jury president of the Young Lions Competition in Nigeria we have experienced the energy, passion and expertise that he brings to the jury room and trust that he will bring thesame level of excellence and diligence in judging the Pitcher Awards.”

Lanre started his career in 1990 as a Trainee Copywriter at MC&A: Saatchi & Saatchi, Lagos, Nigeria. He has since then worked in different capacities as a creative in some of Nigeria’s top agencies. He was at Insight/Grey, Nigeria’s biggest agency, where he worked for six years, leaving in 2003 as an Associate Creative Director. From there he moved to TBWA\Concept as a Creative Director. He left TBWA\Concept as an Executive Creative Director in 2008 to found Noah’s Ark. In the ten years of its existence, Noah’s Ark has established itself as a leading new generation agency, emerging as the most awarded agency within and outside the shores of Nigeria.

In a career spanning over 25 years, he has created outstanding work for some of the most notable brands in Nigeria such as Indomie Noodles, MTN, Peak Milk, Three Crowns, Virgin Atlantic, Airtel and GOtv among others.

Driven by a vision to put Nigeria on the world map of advertising, Lanre is actively involved in the Nigerian creative community with a special passion for inspiring and grooming the next generation. He was part of the pioneer team that started the Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF) over ten years ago. He served for over a decade on the Management Board of LAIF Awards. He was also on the jury of the African Cristals Festival in 2016.

In addition to Noah’s Ark, he has also founded other related marketing communications agencies to offer clients more robust integrated services. They are Integrated Indigo Limited, a public relations agency and Underdog Productions, a content/audio-visual production outfit.

The Pitcher Awards celebrate the best of the best ideas in tech and marketing communications from West and Central Africa. Entries are currently open at www.creativityweek.events. Two other juries will judge work under the Channel and Innovation categories. The Channel jury will judge entries for Use of Media, Use of Data, Use of Insights and Strategy, PR and Reputation Management and Integrated Campaigns. While, the Innovation Jury will look at works in Social Media, Websites, Microsites and Web Services, Apps, Games, Messaging as well as Devices and Novel ideas. Special awards will include Agency of the Year, Advertiser of the Year, Young Pitcher Award and Best Original Work in French.

The Pitcher Awards is part of the Creativity Week, CHINI Productions’ pre-Cannes Lions Festival programme which will take place at the MUSON Centre Lagos from 19 – 24 March 2018. Other events held as part of the Creativity Week are the Young Lions Competitions, the Miami Ad School Scholarship Competition, the Young Professionals Academy, Future Creative Leaders Academy, the Creativity Week Expo, Creativity Week Seminars and the closing Pitcher Awards Night and Gala on 24 March 2018.
