Orange Academy, Africa’s 1st practical school of Integrated Brand Experience, in continuation of its defining role in the sub-Saharan African marketing communication industry has partnered Vega School of Brand Leadership, South Africa on hosting a-two day Strategic Brand Management Workshop in Lagos.

 

Scheduled to hold at Golfview Hotels and Suites, GRA, Ikeja, Lago on June 1 and 2nd, the workshop which sees the coming together of two Africa’s reputable Brand Management Schools, is targeted at marketing professionals seeking to unravel the intricacies of strategic brand building and understanding the challenges facing brands in the crowded marketplace.

 

The workshop will teach innovative methods to building relationships through application of well-researched and proven models for building meaningful brands, with depth weight in terms of identity system. Specifically, the workshop will provide practical answers to some age-long marketing questions, some of which include “Why does your brand matter?” and “What unique and meaningful purpose does it serve in the marketplace?” by empowering participants with new thinking in brand building and deploying contemporary brand building  tools in teaching the modules.

 

With a faculty boasting some of Africa’s most accomplished marketing professionals, which include Carla Enslin, Lampe Omoyele and Colin Morris, participants will learn innovative approach to brand building through insights and perspectives, offered by the combined real-life experiences and involvement in marketing strategy development, brand building and value proposition of the faculty which spans over eight decades.

 

Dr. Carla Enslin, one of the founding members of Vega School of Brand Leadership, Head of Strategy and the national team of Navigators (lecturers) across 4 campuses. Carla is also visiting lecturer at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business and publishes, presents and consults on brand identity design, concept development and contact strategy. She received her doctorate from the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria.

 

Lampe Omoyele, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of The Lucent Consulting Company and immediate past Managing Director of Nielsen West Africa, is a respected business leader with over 25 years’ experience gained in top multinationals in markets across Africa. He possesses a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics across FMCGs, retail and telecommunication industries. A Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria (NIMN); Member, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), and 2nd Vice-President, Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), 2011-2015, Lampe is an adjunct faculty member of the Pan-Atlantic University, where he teaches marketing strategy and a council member of the Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), a leading global expert network that provides independent consulting services to business professionals worldwide.

 

Colin Morris is the ‘Creative Pitch Doctor’ and the leader of a startup project team of like-minded consultants, creating brand strategies that go beyond the “same old – copycat”​ platforms. His specialties include designing, crafting, linking and leveraging new creative “messaging”​ opp’s for Brand conversations within the exploding digital, mobile, app spaces, with a view to driving footfall to ambient, experiential, real world activations via new message technologies like Beacons, LS location scouting and VR.

 

He has worked as Creative Strategies’ Director at various agencies in UK, South Africa and Nigeria. Notable among the agencies are McCann Erikson, Lowe-Lintas, JWT-LTC and Rosabel Leo Burnett. Collin(s) has also lectured at the Lagos Business School, Vega School of Brand Leadership, Deloitte, D&AD and SA Reserve Bank.
