Segun McMedal, new Chairman, Lagos NIPR

The Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) has expressed delight at the smooth congress and election that led to the emergence of Mr. Olusegun McMedal as Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
McMedal, Chief Executive Officer of Upticomm Marketing Company, emerged state chairman, while Mrs Comfort Nwankwo was elected Vice Chairman. Other officers included Thelma Okon (Secretary), Oladapo Soneye, (Assistant Secretary) and Kali Olekauwa (Treasurer).

In a congratulatory to the new chairman, the President of the Public Relations Association of Nigeria (PRCAN), Mr John Ehiguese, commended NIPR national leadership and the Lagos state chapter for the landmark success recorded at the just concluded election.
PRCAN expressed its belief that the new leadership would work towards the desired progress needed to propel growth of public relations practice.
“We are glad to support and collaborate with your chapter to drive initiatives that will add intrinsic values to the institutions we both represent and our professional colleagues,” Ehiguese further said.
PRCAN is the consulting arm of NIPR established by a bye-law. Membership is exclusively restricted to consulting firms whose key executives must be members of NIPR and registered to practice public relations in Nigeria
Its primary objective is to promote professional reputation management in Nigeria within the public and private sectors. It is also committed to maintaining professional standards and discipline among members and providing facilities/professional capacity for the public and private sectors to meet their PR consultancy needs.
