PZ Cussons has promoted consummate marketing professional, James Odejimi as its Head of Marketing (HIN & HPZ). 

Prior to his new position, he was the Category development & innovation Manager of the company. 

In his new role, he will be leading Brand building – big ideas, purpose, marketing strategy, digital transformation and also providing strategic direction for the team to drive sustainable profitable growth for the organization among others.

While he was the Category development & innovation Manager of the company, he and his team achieved remarkable growth in sales revenue and profit contribution gained through innovation, which contributes to the overall revenue target of 30% from innovation and gross margin target of 2% above the category average.

Odejimi has contributed to the growth of many multinationals, he was the Country Manager at Seoul Ex-Import Centre Corporation where he was responsible for monitoring goods shipment & Bank transfer (TT & LC), Management of credit payments on schedule among others. 

He moved to LG Electronics Nig. as Asst. Manager Corporate Marketing after his exit from Seoul Ex-Import Centre Corporation. There he was later elevated to the position of Product Marketing Manager (West Africa Operations) of LG Electronics where he developed a yearly marketing plan based on gathered consumer Insight and product roadmap, New Product introduction (NPI) strategy planning based on consumer insight and others before joining PZ Cussons.

He holds M.Sc in Chemistry from the University of Lagos, Nigeria among other certifications.
