Over 30 seasoned professionals in integrated marketing communication, banking, oil and gas will be teaching approximately 200 participants on the new of doing business in technology era particularly branding.
Themed ‘Branding in the New Normal”, the inaugural brand innocation conference is organised in partnership Brandzone Consulting LLC and The Quadrant Company. The event is billed for October 21 2015 in Lagos.
The inaugural edition of this brand conference will feature an advertising czar and Chairman of Troykas Holding as chairman of the conference, while individuals like George Thorpe, a seasoned advertising practitioner, Bunmi Oke, former President of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, Tonye Cole,Co-Founder, Sahara Energy Group; Clem Ugorji, Director, Communications and Public Affairs, Coca-Cola Nigeria and Lampe Omoyele, Managing Director, West Africa, The Nielsen Company.
Other speakers include Folake Ani-Mummuney, Head, Marketing and Communications, First Bank of Nigeria Plc; Kola Oyeyemi, General Manager, MTN Nigeria, Dr. Celey Okogun, GMD, NovelPotta Y&R, amongst other high profile personalities.

While addressing journalists at a press conference convened to announce the upcoming event, BIC convener, Chizor Malize said, “The conference will explore new channels of consumer engagement that technology has created and the resulting opportunities for increased customer engagement in the market place. Harnessing and maximizing these opportunities will require executives to lead their organizations with skills necessary for these new ways of operation.”
According to Malize, “The rise of technology has transformed the marketing and branding paradigm. Today’s consumers are engaging very differently with brands owing to the growing power of the connected consumer and an explosion of new technology tools. Branding, marketing and communications experts today face a constant proliferation of new methods and channels for consumer engagement that queries the traditional approach.”
“In the 21st century, there is a battle for customer attention and the pressure to deliver meaning and business impact quickly is compounded by the new always-on digital, social, and mobile world. Brand messaging and management in this “new normal” must convey more than simply what the brand does for an individual consumer; it must engage the consumer and build positive relationships and associations that sit excitedly at the consumer’s heart,” she added.
