Leading Marketing Communications firm, Verdant Zeal Group Ltd has announced plans to host the 5th edition of its annual ‘Innovention’ lecture series tagged “The Next Big Thing – Identifying Africa’s Untapped Potential”.
Scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 at The Civic Centre Ozumba Mbadigwe, Victoria Island, Lagos, this year’s edition and fifth in the series will seek to call stakeholders interest on the need for African nations and Nigeria in particular to see the need for a concerted agenda towards ensuring that it creates multiple streams of income if it must remain relevant globally.
To be declared open by the managing Director and chief Executive Officer of the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Mr. Kyari Bukar who will be sitting as the Chairman of the event, the keynote address will be delivered by Nigeria born professional and academic, Professor Pius Adesanmi – A Professor of English and Director, Institute of African Studies, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.
Joining Bukar and Adesanmi as discussants will be the Chairman, Chocolate City Entertainment, Audu Maikon, Managing Director TBWA/Concept Limited and President, Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Mr. Kelechi Nwosu and the Founder/CEO, JC Capital, Mr. Joel Chimhanda.
An initiative of Verdant Zeal Marketing Communications Ltd, the ‘Innovention Series’ is a platform designed to bring both public and private interest owners together to deliberate on issues affecting the nation’s economics and development with a view to charting agendas towards moving it forward.
Highlighting details of the event at a press briefing, The Group Director Content, Synergy and Innovation, Verdant Zeal Ltd, Mr. Dipo Adesida noted that the aim of the fifth edition of the series is to start the conversation on identifying and leveraging on untapped opportunities in the Nigerian nation and African continent for collective progress.
Adesida maintained that, “If it works on wall Street, why should Africa be exempted from having the same benefits? Though the political structures are emerging and the human capital ranks low on core technical skills but Africa is one of the few places in the world where multiple digit returns can be guaranteed in the shortest time possible”.
“Africa and particularly Nigeria’s creative community is on the rise, using every outlet to spread its uniquely crafted essence. From films, food, fashion and everything in between, Africa, now, more than ever has the chance to export its organic uniqueness to the rest of the world”, he added.
