Folashade Shona urges business owners on value

The Chief Executive Officer, Avo Pizza Fabulous, Folashade Shona, has urged business owners to pay more attention to delivering values rather than making profits.

Shona stated this on Saturday at Arepo, Ogun State, during the one-year anniversary of her firm.

She said, “I have been in business for over 24 years now and I have picked up a couple of things. With this business which I am celebrating today, I believed that we didn’t have to travel to experience good things or rely on something foreign made, we could just do it ourselves.

“We often believe that what is foreign is the best, but no, we can do better, Nigeria has the potential to do better. We are trying as a nation but the best is yet to come, we just pray that God continues to direct our path. Doing business in Nigeria isn’t really encouraging, it’s only in the food business, and you might have an advantage.

“These are truly challenging times for us as entrepreneurs and business owners, especially with the dollar to naira rate, but we can’t give up. Cutting corners and being shady just to get profit, isn’t the way; profit will come. It’s important to be value-oriented than profit-oriented.”

The Lagos State Police Traffic Officer, Oriyomi Titilayo-Oluwasanmi, stated that it was better for Nigerians to stay in the country rather than run to other countries.
