One of the foremost commercial banks in Nigeria, Fidelity Bank Plc has announced extra hours on weekdays and Saturdays to give their valued customers time to deposit the Naira notes being phased out for the redesign Naira notes.

The Circular was in compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to all Deposit Money Banks operating in Nigeria.

The Circular reads,
“Temporary Extension of Banking Hours
Dear Customers,
Following Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) announcement on the currency redesign exercise, please note that we have reviewed our working hours as indicated below:
WEEKDAYS: Monday to Friday
All branches will open by 8.00am and close by 6.00pm
Saturdays (For Cash Deposit Only):
All branches will open by 10.00am and close by 4.00pm.”
The new directive is a temporary measure to enable all customers deposit all old Naira notes in circulation.
