Few things cause collective excitement in the hearts of Nigerians than movies; we enjoy acting in them, watching them, and making comments while watching them. We find movies to be both entertaining and relaxing, whether alone or with others.

We’ve gone to the trouble of compiling a list of amazing movies that you should watch alone or with your loved ones. So, curl up, grab some popcorn and enjoy the five movies you must watch on Prime Video.

King of Thieves – This Yoruba mythology-inspired film tells the story of Agesinkole (Femi Adebayo), a vengeful bandit who terrorises the peaceful Kingdom of Ajeromi. The King (Odunlade Adekola) seeks to destroy the bandit by utilising indigenous mystical and worldly forces, thus initiating an epic tale of courage, honour, and wit.

Brotherhood – We all remember playing the game ‘Police and Thief’ as kids, and this film does a brilliant portrayal of it. Two brothers find themselves on opposing sides of the law, putting their brotherly bonds to the ultimate test as Falz joins a Task Force that is hunting down his brother’s gang (Tobi Bakre).

Palava – RMD portrays a well-known musical performer with five daughters. On the eve of his 60th birthday, his life and family unluckily begin to turn upside down when a scandal is revealed, causing the family to re-examine themselves and their relationship with their father.

The Therapist – A woman decides to help women in similar situations after losing everything in a divorce to her abusive ex-husband. With the help and support of her friends, she establishes an agency for this purpose. However, when an irresistible offer is made, the bonds of friendship are put to the test.

The Blood Covenant – This riveting thriller follows three ambitious young men struggling to make it in Lagos, who embark on an endless quest for the high life, fame, and fortune, willing to go to any length to achieve it.
