Financial SupportThe scholarship provides financial assistance of N200,000 annually till graduation for successful applicants, easing the burden of tuition fees and other educational expenses. Unlike some scholarships that offer one-time financial aid, the MTN Foundation Scholarship supports students annually till graduation, provided they maintain the required grades. This offers sustained assistance throughout their academic journey.
Tailored CategoriesWith three scholarship categories catering to diverse needs, including Science and Technology, Blind Students, and Top 10 UTME, the program ensures inclusivity and support for a wide range of students pursuing different fields of study.
For Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Students
Candidates must be full-time 300-level students in any Nigerian public tertiary institution (universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education) and be studying science or technology-related courses. They must also have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 or the equivalent (2:1).
For Blind Students
The MTN Scholarship is open to all qualified blind students at the 200 level in any course at any Nigerian public tertiary institution (universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education) who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.5.
For Top 10 Candidates of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
The top 10 candidates who get the highest scores on the UTME, as released by JAMB, automatically get one of the top 10 UTME scholarships each year. The winners get scholarships that cover them from their 100 level all the way through graduation, as long as they keep up the needed grades.
