A significant milestone was reached at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress Melbourne as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed, designating Nigeria as the host country for Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2023. The MoU was executed by prominent figures in the entrepreneurship and economic development sector.

This historic agreement was signed by Dr. Olawale Anifowose, Managing Director of GEN Nigeria, alongside Mr. Jonathan Ortmans, President of Global Entrepreneurship Network and Dr. Wale Fasanya, Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN)
