The Fintech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR) has called for more digital inclusion, Fintech innovation and growth to boost digital transformation in Nigeria and beyond.

The association made the call during its 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which held last week in Lagos, and attended by members of the Board of Trustees and Governing Council as well as prominent figures from the fintech ecosystem.

According to the association, FintechNGR, the premier national fintech association in Africa, is committed to accelerating fintech growth, fostering innovation, and advocating for regulatory reforms in Nigeria’s fintech landscape.

During the AGM, the President of FintechNGR, Mr. Ade Bajomo, expressed his gratitude o members for their dedication, selflessness, and contributions to the association’s exponential growth over the past six years.

Bajomo re-emphasised the association’s commitment to achieving its three-pronged mandate of accelerating, connecting, and advocating for the fintech ecosystem.

Highlighting the financial stability of FintechNGR, Bajomo said: “Financially, FintechNGR showcased its strength and resilience, with gross revenue reaching N190,551,861.00 while reserves grew to N80.6 million. Membership growth has been remarkable, as FintechNGR expanded from 56 members in 2018 to an impressive 375 members in 2022. The association represents sectors in the Nigerian economy, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among its members.”
