Nigerian Breweries Plc, brewers of Gulder Lager beer, has allegedly postponed the 13th edition of Gulder Ultimate Search till 2023 The Industry Newspaper findings reveal.
The 2023 edition was GUS was allegedly postponed due to major media events taking place in 2022 such as Big Brother Naija (BBN), World Cup and festive season frenzy, which usually come with a lot of media related events and concerts.
According to a reliable source who pleaded anonymity, he said, “Gulder Ultimate Search is a media event and it wouldn’t make good sense to host it when media space is already saturated. There is just concluded BBN, World Cup is coming up in 2 weeks and this is an election year in Nigeria, and electioneering campaigns have started already. It would be counterproductive to continue with it this year,” source said.
Another reliable source who spoke to The Industry on the condition of anonymity believed that GUD will certainly returned in 2022 when the airwave must have been freed up by some of the events.
“GUS will return in 2023 I can assure of that. Efforts are heightened to ensure the 2023 GUS would be like 2 in 1 and consumers and audience would be wowed and Gulder would be thanked for it in the end,” she stated.
According to The Industry Newspaper report yesterday which alluded to the fact that the brand- Gulder would be unveiling some brand ambassadors today- November 4th, 2022.
