Jennifer Lopez has a new gig: Chief Celebrations Officer for Richard Branson’s Virgin Voyages.

And the actress-singer is inviting her fans to experience the new travel brand — with a twist.

Utilizing augmented reality, Virgin Voyages enabled an AI version of JLo to invite potential travelers to summer aboard one of the line’s three ships, which offer more than 40 itineraries to 100 ports of call.

The technology is used to personalize the invitation, such as a birthday, bachelorette party or vacation. Here’s how it works: Sailors (the brand’s term for customers) can activate the new Jen AI tool at www.VirginVoyages.com. They answer a few questions, such as what they would like to celebrate, where they want to go, and a personalized invite is emailed.

VMLY&R, a subsidiary of WPP,created the work, which is running on digital, social and CTV.

“It’s so important to me that we stop and take time to celebrate special moments in our lives, and encourage others to do the same. If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s how important it is to cherish life’s special moments with your inner circle,” said Lopez.

Or as Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, puts it: “Let’s be honest, who can say no to Jennifer?”

Virgin Voyages was awarded a spot on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2023 “Hot List” for the second year in a row.

Ships depart from Miami, Barcelona and Athens. San Juan and Melbourne will be included in future itineraries.
