The 2022 F1 season saw Max Verstappen and Red Bull dominate proceedings, with the Dutchman claiming his second successive drivers’ championship. He won a record 15 races throughout the year. Still, he insists that he is not thinking about the chance to become the fifth driver to win three successive titles, alongside Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.

Asked if he had what he needed to join the illustrious list, Verstappen replied: “I mean, we work hard as a team to try and make sure we have the chance to work hard for it again. Only time will tell. I am not even thinking about these things at the moment”.

The big questions for the season are will Verstappen join the elite league of trio winners, will Lewis Hamilton make a serious comeback with Mercedes this year, or will a different winner entirely emerge?

The first set of races will give more apparent forecasts of what’s to happen. Watch the pre-season testing in Bahrain live on February 23 -25. The season’s first race will also hold in Bahrain from March 3 to 5 from 4 pm. The world championship moves to Saudi Arabia for the second race between March 17 and 19, while the third race will be in Australia between March 31 to April 2, 2023.
