The nation’s entertainment sector received a boost, last weekend, as the management of Mainland Records, a record label company, commissioned a new state- of- the- art recording studio on Oladosu street, Off Toyin Street, in Ikeja.

Speaking at the commissioning of the multi-million naira studio, the Chief Executive Officer of Mainland Records, Mr. Victor Fasuyi, described the studio as a dream come true, after two years of its conception.

The South Africa-trained sound engineer and music producer, explained that the studio, which is open to all artistes, irrespective of their music genre, is designed to further give the nation’s entertainment sector a boost, by availing artistes, in this part of the globe, the opportunity of a quality music recording, at very affordable costs, without having to travel abroad.

He believes his experiences in South Africa and his background, as a trained sound engineer and music producer , would go a long way in pushing further the boundary of service delivery, especially for artistes coming in to patronise the studio.

“The idea of the studio was conceived about two years ago, and it was informed by the need to provide a platform, where artistes across all genres, irrespective of their social status, can stroll in and do their recordings.

“Though it is a business outfit, but the idea of the studio goes far beyond that. It  is designed  to ensure that our clients get maximum value for every kobo spent here, by ensuring that we  deliver to them innovative and quality service,” he stated.
