As reported earlier this week, Havas Group and Interpublic are the only major holding companies publicly urging their clients to pause advertising on Twitter due to safety concerns, given the chaotic transition from public company to an Elon Musk-owned platform.
But other major groups are also intently focused on the platform, although most are not commenting on the record.
But Omnicom Group did issue a statement: “We are in close contact with Twitter as we assess the impact of new ownership and potential changes in their strategy. It’s understandable that uncertainty of this kind raises concerns among advertisers, and we are providing guidance to clients so they can make informed decisions.”
Several other groups would only speak on background, and the gist is similar to what Omnicom stated. That is, no blanket pause (yet), but meeting with individual clients to discuss options.
