• Reveals plans to set up resource centres

Bridging Education Gap Africa (BE-GA), a non-profit organisation with a mission to provide access to quality education to vulnerable students in underserved communities through the distribution of school supplies to students in need and classroom supplies to teachers, have announced the official launch of its automated application system.

This system will allow schools in underserved communities to automatically apply for learning supplies in a backpack for their students in need and classroom supplies for their teachers. BE-GA is also set to establish resource centres that will provide eligible schools’ educators with critical supplies at zero cost to empower teaching and educational success.

Introducing technology into BE-GA’s solution has streamlined its operational processes, enabling BE-GA to reach more schools and vulnerable students while generating real-time data and maintaining transparency with its work. With this solution, schools can register on the platform as a beneficiary to access continuous support that will help them deliver quality education.

“We are passionate about making a significant impact on the education sector, and we are fully committed to the cause. We are open to collaboration to ensure we eradicate and bridge the education gap for vulnerable students. This way, we will not only reduce the dropout rate but also empower the future leaders of our nation,” said Jennifer Jonathan, Founder of Bridging Education Gap Africa.

Jennifer added, “This year 2023 marks the great beginning of our journey to bridge the education gap, and our resource centres will serve as free school supply stores where all donated items will be collated. It will also be a space where donors and partners can come together to collectively build a backpack for a student in need or box supplies for a teacher.”
