Roll out the red carpet! The Real Housewives of Abuja are coming.
Showmax announced the debut of its original reality series, The Real Housewives of Abuja, last month and since then we have met the ladies who are ready to rule our screens for the next few weeks.
If there is one thing the franchise is known for, it’s the glitz and glam. Combining all that with the power, connections and luxury synonymous with Abuja and the ladies, we expect to see some surprising and not so surprising cameo appearances in the reality series.
We can’t wait for the drama, and who knows how to bring spice and sugar to a Real Housewives scene better than a former housewife? Friends with OJ Porsharella, we would absolutely love to see the Real Housewives of Lagos alumnus, Carolyna Hutchings, bring her charm and chaos to the show. We doubt anyone has forgotten her infamous words, “I got married to a billionaire and poor people can’t stand that.”
Light, camera, action! With the show’s popularity and the ladies’ circle of friends, we wouldn’t be surprised if we see some of the big names in Nollywood, such as Ini Edo and Tonto Dikeh make an appearance in one or two episodes. These ladies can rule any set and there is a reason they are some of the big stars in the Nolly town.
Adding more to the reality show, it wouldn’t be amiss to see a former beauty queen, Dabota Lawson in the show. The former Miss Nigeria is known to be best buddies with Samantha Homossany and we can’t wait to see her on our screens. Would she also be sugar or spice?
Speaking of queens, the Abuja social scene wouldn’t be complete without the queen of controversies, Jaruma. The socialite is drama personified and having her on the show is definitely part of what we are signing up for.
Then there’s Regina Daniels, wife to a self-made billionaire, queen of the soft life geng, and Jaruma’s off-and-on buddy. Imagine these two brought together in a scene? We can’t even wrap our heads around the explosion that would happen.
