The management and staff of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development has commended the newly sworn-in Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Planning Matters, Dr. Olajide Babatunde.

A statement by the ministry said the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, while receiving Babatunde, described him as “someone whose enthusiasm, interpersonal and organisational skills put him in a vantage position to complement the State Executive Council, ministry and its agencies.”

Salako said the Lagos governor formalised the appointment of the special adviser, having merited the honour through his valuable contributions to the development of the state during the last year.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Abiola Kosegbe, said the special adviser was a worthy addition to the Physical Planning and Urban Development family which had a lot to benefit from his commitment and passion for planning matters.

On his part, Babatunde appreciated the governor and leadership of the ministry for the cooperation and pledged his support for the upliftment of planning in the state.

Dignitaries in attendance include the Permanent Secretary, Lands Bureau, Mr. Bode Agoro; Permanent Secretary/Surveyor-General, Olutomi Sangowawa; General Manager, Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority, Kehinde Osinaike; and the General Manager, Lagos State Planning and Environmental Monitoring Agency, Daisi Oso.
